Does my system need to be interconnected to the grid to produce SRECs? Can I go off-the-grid?

Yes, solar energy systems **must be connected to the electric grid** and energized (turned on) to produce SRECs. **Going "off-the-grid" will impact your system's eligibility for SRECs**.
