One way to track SREC production
Remote monitoring (often abbreviated "RM") is a type of web application that measures and records energy production. These RM platforms usually provide an overview of the system's energy production and often create maintenance alerts as well.
In addition to monitoring the system itself, remote monitoring platforms can be set up to report SREC production automatically, as an alternative to self-reporting.
Remote monitoring is available to most solar generators
These days, most solar energy systems include remote monitoring at no extra cost. If you went solar in 2018 or later, you likely have access to reporting of your system's solar production online.
Set up remote monitoring for SRECs
To get started, reach out to your solar array installer to find out if your system offers remote monitoring and if so, through what platform. Enphase Enlighten, SolarEdge, and Sunny Portal (SMA) are common offerings for remote monitoring.
Once remote monitoring has been set up and verified for your solar system, you won't need to manually enter solar production each month. Please contact Customer Support at (888)235-1538 or via email at info@solsystems.com to ensure your remote monitoring has been verified.
