What is PJM Interconnection?

PJM Interconnection is the regional transmission organization (RTO) that operates the electric power grid for the Mid-Atlantic region and parts of the Midwest. PJM is responsible for coordinating the movement of wholesale electricity, maintaining grid reliability, and administering regional electricity markets across its service territory.

What area does PJM serve?

PJM’s service area includes all or portions of multiple states across the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest.
