Step 5: State & GATS Registration

Information on registration timeline 

After your contract is signed and all documents are received:

  1. Sol Systems submits your system to your state program (if applicable)

  2. After state approval, we submit to GATS (the SREC awarding entity)

This process typically takes 4–8 weeks, depending on the state.

Once approved by GATS:

  • Your system becomes eligible to generate SRECs

  • Retroactive SRECs may be minted depending on your interconnection date and state market. Please review your state market page for further information
